Perhaps fusing two different models that Penny Hardaway wore early in his NBA career — the Nike Air Flight One and Nike Air Go LWP, along with elements from the Foamposite One — to create an entirely new silhouette in the Zoom Rookie LWP wasn’t inventive enough. In any case, Nike has taken the novelty quotient one step further by introducing the sneaker in a Luminous Pearl colorway, a fitting name when viewed under natural light but not so much in the dark, as the shoe tends to emit an alien green glow. We’re not sure what possible application a glow in the dark feature could have for a basketball sneaker, but it certainly looks cool.
