Look at those Nike Zoom Rookie LWPs. This photo was taken during the Sole Collector event in Las Vegas with guest speaker “Penny” Hardaway. The colors look amazing. Hopefully we can get those inside our doors for you guys. But for now, let’s just check out what’s inside this crate.

Perhaps fusing two different models that Penny Hardaway wore early in his NBA career — the Nike Air Flight One and Nike Air Go LWP, along with elements from the Foamposite One — to create an entirely new silhouette in the Zoom Rookie LWP wasn’t inventive enough. In any case, Nike has taken the novelty quotient one step further by introducing the sneaker in a Luminous Pearl colorway, a fitting name when viewed under natural light but not so much in the dark, as the shoe tends to emit an alien green glow. We’re not sure what possible application a glow in the dark feature could have for a basketball sneaker, but it certainly looks cool.
